November 19, 2020 – The English Premier League season continues as Pep Guardiola has signed a new two-year contract at Manchester City to extend the Spaniards stay at the club until 2023.
Pep Guardiola’s current five-year spell at Manchester City is the longest managerial commitment he has made to any team he has coached — surpassing four-year spell at Spanish giants Barcelona, before leading German heavyweights Bayern Munich for three years.
Manchester City have won six major trophies — including two Premier League titles in 2018 and 2019 — during Guardiola’s tenure. City defeated Watford in the 2019 FA Cup final, and have also hoisted the English League Cup three times.
Since 2016, Guardiola has secured 181 victories from 245 matches as Manchester City managers — a win percentage of 74% — drawing 28, while losing 36 times.
