17 augustus 2024 – 8 september 2024 – De 79e editie van de Vuelta a España, de laatste grote ronde van het jaar voor de wielersport, zal meer dan drie weken racen en 21 etappes omvatten, over een afstand van 3.265 km.
The race starts in the Portuguese capital Lisbon and concludes in the Spanish capital, Madrid. The route will consist of:
1 flat stage
5 medium mountain stages
8 mountain stages
2 individual time-trial stages
5 hilly stages (2 with high-altitude finales)
2 rest days
