April 8, 2021 – April 11, 2021 – Augusta National Golf Club stages the U.S. Masters tournament each year. Augusta is one of the world’s most beautiful and challenging courses, with undulating greens and sprawling bunkers to test the world’s best golfers.
The 2021 U.S. Masters tournament at Augusta National returns to its traditional April spot after being forced to move to November last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This will be the 85th edition of the tournament, with world No.1 Dustin Johnson bidding to become just the fourth player to successfully defend the green jacket.
Johnson’s 72-hole total of 20-under-par set a new Masters record in 2020, breaking an 18-under-par mark previously held by Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth.
This year’s tournament will be conducted with similar health and safety standards to those instituted in November, and efforts are being made to include a limited number of spectators, according to CNN.
Tiger Woods will miss 2021 Masters after sustaining serious leg injuries in car crash in February. His fifth Masters title in 2019 placed him one victory behind record holder Jack Nicklaus, who has won six times at Augusta
